District Convention, or DCON, is an annual gathering of hundreds of Key Clubbers—from all over the state of New Jersey—to celebrate the end of a successful service year and the beginning of a new one. In 2018, the secret agent-themed DCON will take place at the Ocean Place Resort in Long Branch, NJ, from Friday, March 23rd to Sunday, March 24th.
Throughout the weekend, agents of service will enter contests, attend workshops, receive recognition for their accomplishments, participate in onsite service projects, and elect the next district executive board. There will also be dances held on Friday and Saturday nights—and the beach is right next door!

At DCON, you'll attend workshops led by the New Jersey District Board, as well as influential guest speakers. Drop by the Service Fair outside the Atlantic Ballroom to learn more about other volunteer organizations!
DCON is a time for honoring Key Club members for their hard work, dedication, talents, and achievements over the course of the service year. Contests include the oratorical and essay contests, and the Talent Show, an audience favorite. Some awards given to clubs and members include the Distinguished Officer Awards, the 100% CMRF Award, the Single Service Award, and the NJ Key Club Scholarships.

At DCON, all members will have the opportunity to meet the candidates running for district executive offices for the 2017-2018 service year—District Governor, District Secretary, District Treasurer, and District Editor (the District Webmaster is selected by an application process). Delegates will then represent each club at the House of Delegates to elect the next district executive board! There are opportunities to participate in service projects and fundraisers right at DCON—be sure to bring canned foods and nonperishables for our food drive, and bundle up for a Hunger Walk down the boardwalk on Sunday morning! Stay tuned for more details.
